Schindler Active Font – Architectural Plans Typography

Posted in Dark Fonts with tags , , , on December 8, 2010 by darkvotum

The Schindler Active font is my new commercial typeface inspired in the style of Austrian and later American architect Rudolph Schindler (*1887 †1953).

The font’s purpose is to be utilized in architectural plans lettering since there are not many typefaces in architecture with a hand-drawn style as it was done years ago.

Below is the image I’ve prepared with the character map should you want to license my design font. The font can be purchased through PayPal. Contact darkvotum at gmail for further details. Thanks.

Hollywood Grotesk Font – Stage Set Typography

Posted in Dark Fonts with tags , , , , on November 26, 2010 by darkvotum

Hollywood Grotesk is my new commercial sans serif font influenced by most store displays and advertising text I’ve seen in Hollywood Blvd.

In the Los Angeles scenery, the architectural stage set typography and man-made landscape – namely Hollywood Modern – is defined as the lavishness and exuberance of the Hollywood metaphors of the past, with their elements of monumental scale, complexity of structure, gaiety, variation of spatial interrelationships, and continuous movement of water, which have been re-interpreted in the six-storey atrium of the Bonaventure Hotel by John Portman. (John V. Mutlow. Architectural Design. 1981).

I’ve prepared the HG alphabet database and a 3D lettering composite for your consideration should you want to license my commercial font – contact me darkvotum at gmail.
