Fantasy Song – Earth, Wind & Fire T-Shirt Design

Posted in Dark Designs, Dark Illustrations, Dark Themes with tags , , , , , on March 5, 2012 by darkvotum

The Fantasy song (1978) is a pre-Michael Jackson pop song that deserves a great artistic design. In my opinion, it is the best musical choral composition of the XX Century.

“Fantasy” is a single by Earth, Wind & Fire from their album All ‘N All, released as a single in 1978. The selection was written and composed by Maurice White, Verdine White, and Eddie del Barrio, and it was only finally finished after Maurice White saw the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind and gained inspiration from the film.

The song has two striking poetic paragraphs that really prevail in a dream world of good and evil. I include them here.

” Every thought is a dream
Rushing by in a stream
Bringing life to the kingdom of doing…

You will find other kind
That has been in search of you
Many lives has brought you to
Recognize, it’s your life now in review.”

In addition, it has an intriguing sentence that is almost undecipherable but I’m sure it has the meaning of time and infinity…”Until the twelfth of never.”

My Fantasy dark design, with customized vintage typography, is available for your consideration in this section of the store, with an amazing choice of background colors and sizes for your casual and daily wear and parties.

Original Dark Shadows Font – 1966 Television Series Typography

Posted in Dark Fonts with tags , , , , on February 9, 2011 by darkvotum

Dark Shadows is a commercial font revived from the the Gothic soap opera that was presented in ABC network from 1966 to 1971. For some reason, I thought I had designed the font for my collection until a client pointed out that the font trademark of my designs was missing. He was right I designed the t-shirt but not the full typeface characters.

As a trivia note, the symbols of Dark Shadows are many but it is worthy of notice that the first episode was aired on June 27, 1966, following the 666 gothic tradition.

Below is my image alphabet and a first screen shot presentation I’ve prepared should you want to purchase the license of my design font. Contact darkvotum at gmail. Thanks.

Pendleton Demibold Font – American Military Typography

Posted in Dark Fonts with tags , , , , on February 7, 2011 by darkvotum

Pendleton Demibold is a premium military font for promotion of American government magazines. It is not an easy and candid font but it has an amazing visual impact in titles that could also be used in posters, cards and presentations. It is modeled after my experience in Somalia Operation Restore Hope but I won’t tell you the long sad story of Battle of Mogadishu. If you want to relive the violent struggle, rent or buy the film Blackhawk Down.

The font is a serif typeface for better readibility at smaller sizes with interesting ligatures and I’m sure all grunts would be pleased to purchase the font for their own military greeting cards.

Below is my image alphabet and a title presentation if you want to buy the license of my design font. Contact darkvotum at gmail. Thanks for supporting my love for Camp Pendleton. Semper Fit!
