Italian Amarcord Font Creation – Federico Fellini Movie

Another great commercial font for my client portfolio called Amarcord inspired in the poster lettering and movie directed by Federico Fellini (1973). A great film director who produced the most surrealistic decadent movies of the Italian society.

The original lettering of the Amarcord poster is hand drawn. So, I decided to digitize the font in high resolution studying the geometric elements of the glyphs. The style could be categorized as Bold Semi-Deco with a subtle Gothic flavor and it is reminiscent of movies of 1970’s. The typeface could be used for horror movies titles as well due to the sharp shapes. Here is the image below with the Amarcord font compilation database. If you want to license this font, please contact me dark votum at gmail. Thanks.
