Wizard of Oz Wedding Vintage Invitation – Hollywood Style

Recently, one of my clients contacted me to purchase the Kansas Rainbow design font. She wanted to create her wedding invitations with the look of 1940’s vintage invitation prints for the memories of her family.

I decided to include this design with the Wizard of Oz colors theme as the style of the old Hollywood movie should you want to impress your guests.

The design is an old wedding invitation, including a couple logogram, grammar vintage style and a rainbow border framing the invitation.

The Bolt Shirt – Retro Muscle Leather Bar 1970

From the nostalgic times of San Francisco gay bars, I decided to re-create my favorite t-shirt. The Bolt bar came in the late ’70s with some other famous bars in Folsom Street.

The bar had an audience of big bodybuilders and leather men, and definitely was my favorite bar to sport my muscles. The Bolt always reminded one of the superheroes fantasy with supernatural powers.

Mars One – Collector’s Private Enterprise Insignia For 2020 Planet Colonization

If you have seen Red Planet movie, it seems the introduction of the film is almost prophetic in my opinion. One of the patches in the routine suit got my attention and I decided to re-create the logo (my own version in vector format)  for the wanna-be astronauts that will land in Mars around 2020+ as good luck. Some skeptics say it will be a suicidal mission but we will see how humans adapt to the new environment.
In the insignia, Valles Marineris is the main attraction as a landing point because it is the grandest canyon in the Solar System. The rift extends from Florida to Los Angeles in distance.
I hope you support this journey because we need to start the evolution of humankind toward new worlds. This, of course, if you prefer to stay on Earth, consider the patch for your car or your t-shirt.  See you on Mars or Cape Canaveral on 2020 and beyond!

Original Hotel California Sign – My Pact With The Devil

There are few satanic symbols that get my attention because they enlighten me or have protected my life in Los Angeles. The Hotel Californian sign is one of them and to my luck, I usually pay a visit few times of the year to thank the Devil for his generosity and protection.

The sign is found in Griffith Park and I believe it was built in 1907 for the opening of the hotel lit in neon in the affluent area of Westlake. I reconstructed the sign typography because it is my service to the Devil, who in the last visit I had a dream about designing the lettering for a t-shirt.

Of course, if you listen to The Eagles’s amazing song, Hotel California, you probably know what I’m talking about…”you can’t kill the Beast”.

UPDATE March 24, 2014 – It is interesting that after this post, I was driving near this place in Griffith Park and I noticed the sign was taken away. It is a pity because I usually made my rituals in this place in Walpurgis Night (April 30). I believe I was the last one to take good resolution images of this landmark and I attributed going there on January 17 due to a Lucifer’s call. He wanted to memorialize my good work. Well, I know he still protects my life.
