Typographic Portraits – ASCII Demon Design

Using typefaces to create portraits is an interesting design trend over the internet. Some of them are beautiful compositions of what a designer can do with shapes, lines and curves.

Some websites have some great examples of them. Unfortunately, they load tons of them and it is common now to find design titles such as 100 Beautiful Samples of this….Merde (a great French word)! Who has the time to wait for the complete page and scroll one mile? One example should say it all.

One of my typographic portrait is based on a demonic gargoyle made with ASCII symbols. It is amazing I was introduced to ASCII when I was learning FORTRAN in my early university courses. The high resolution print is available in the Magicians section should you want to become an ASCII fan.
